These quotes were collected from a discussion group on exploring challenges and opportunities associated with circular business practices. Thirteen participants from companies of varying sizes, business support organisations, representatives of local and national policy bodies, and academia took part. It took place on September 17th 2024 in Groningen, The Netherlands.

Explore the quotes from our workshop and “like” the ones that resonate with your experience. These insights are organized around five themes that emerged clearly from the discussions: evolving consumer demand—which can act as both a driver and a barrier; company culture and cross-department collaboration; production costs and the challenges they pose for competitiveness; the essential role of public policy in supporting that competitiveness; and finally, the importance of considering the broader business ecosystem surrounding the product and its value chain.
